Orgel-mixturen 2016 – Lunch

Kunst-Station Sankt Peter Cologne, Germany

Over 12 years ago organist and composer Peter Bares fitted out Cologne’s church of Sankt Peter with an organ for New Music. Since then the orgel-Mixturen festival has become a firm fixture across the musical landscape of Germany. Within this framework the art venue Kunst-Station Sankt Peter in Cologne attempts to create a dialog here between music, art and liturgy. More than 150 works for organ have been performed on this organ for New Music over the past few years, including 50 premieres. By way of a complement to the established festival Fall 2016 is to see the holding in Sankt Peter of so-called Lunch Concerts every Saturday that are supported by the EvS Music Foundation.
