Ensems Festival

The Ensems Festival is the oldest festival for contemporary music and sound experiments in Spain. “Hybridizations” is the motto of the 42^nd edition that brings together traditions and new directions, experience and experimentation, machines and instruments and classic and unconventional ensembles. The festival program features seven composition commissions including the three-act chamber opera The Sins of the Cities of the Plain by Germán Alonso. The invited line-up includes the ADDA Symphonic Orchestra, the Arditti Quartet, Trío Feedback, the Neuma Quartet and ensemble recherche. 2020 will see live concerts, performances and workshops which will also be streamed on the festival website and social media. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is facilitating Ensems Festival 2020.
