The Gathering

Louth Contemporary Music Society, Dundalk, Ireland

The Gathering is a festival of contemporary music that takes place with five concerts on two days in June. The festival begins with the European premiere of Christos Hatzis' The Gathering, while compositions by Kevin Volans, Leo Brouwer and Pascale Criton are performed by Carolin Widmann, Andrey Lebedev, Vox Clamantis and the Smith Quartet.

The Louth Contemporary Music Society (LCMS) surprises the audience with a colourful programme and presents not only barely heard works by Hatzis and Volans, but also world premieres by the Irish composers Linda Buckley and Siobhan Cleary and the Cuban composer Leo Brouwer.
