Contemporary Music Columns of "Muzsika"

Pro Musica Foundation - Muzsika Hungary, Budapest, Hungary

Muzsika is the leading Hungarian monthly on classical music. The magazine covers all major Hungarian musical events, concerts, opera performances, contests, festivals; publishes reviews of books, sheet music and recordings.
Muzsika closely follows the contemporary music scene: it attempts to show a panoramic view of Hungarian contemporary music while also sampling some foreign novelties. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation supports the contemporary and new music columns which display a wide variety of genres from criticism, to interviews, portraits, analyses of individual pieces and entire œuvres to reviews of books, sheet music and recordings. Muzsika’s regular contributors on contemporary music represent the best experts of the country, its musicologists and critics are fellows of the Liszt Academy in Budapest, researchers of the Institute for Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Bartok Archives and other prestigious institutions. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation supports the contemporary and new music columns in 2012.
