Genesis Cycle

New World Symphony, Miami, USA

Together with Matthias Pintscher New World Symphony is programming Genesis, a cycle project that was commissioned to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ensemble intercontemporain in 2017. Pintscher curated the cycle by inviting seven composers from seven different countries to write new works, each focusing on one of the seven days of creation. The seven days include compositions by Mark Andre, Franck Bedrossian, Chaya Czernowin, Joan Magrané Figuera, Stefano Gervasoni, Marko Nikodijević and Anna Thorvaldsdottir. The performance by the New World Symphony, made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, adds an eighth work to the cycle The Flood by Toshia Hosokowa.

Due to the current situation and associated regulations, there may be changes at short notice. For the latest information on the project please therefore check nws.edu
