Composition Commissions to Chaya Czernowin, Tristan Murail and Lisa Streich

Aleph Guitar Quartet, Tübingen, Germany

An essential part of the Aleph Guitar Quartet's work is their development of a repertoire for this extraordinary instrumentation. Over the last thirty years, numerous pieces have been written by major composers for this very purpose. Now the repertoire is being expanded to include new compositions by Chaya Czernowin, Lisa Streich and Tristan Murail, which will be premiered at Haus der Musik in Innsbruck and the SICG Festival in Stuttgart. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is making the three composition commissions possible.
