Four Composition Commissions

The consequences of the ongoing pandemic raise increasingly important questions for organizers and artists: How do we perceive real experiences of the performing arts and how will we perceive them in future? These questions are addressed by live or stream? – a concert series in difficult times held at Konzerthaus Berlin. Arne Gieshoff (*1988), Annette Schlünz (*1964), Bernd Richard Deutsch (*1977) and Detlev Glanert (*1960) each have carte blanche to devise one concert evening – on the proviso that they relate to 1920s Vienna and Schönberg's activities. In addition to the concerts, there will also be discussion sessions featuring Nuria Schönberg-Nono, Melanie Wald-Fuhrmann, Holger Noltze and Jürgen Brandhorst. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is making the four composition commissions possible.
