Iannis Xenakis – Oresteïa

"Collective chants and dances, invocation of Jupiter: order ≤ disorder, insanity, screams, brass, voices with different rhythms...", writes Iannis Xenakis in the score to his music theater Oresteïa. As part of the 27th season of the Chamber Orchestra of the Zaragoza Auditorium/Enigma Group (Orquesta de Cámara del Auditorio de Zaragoza – OCAZEnigma), with the theme "Sobre la Posibilidad de lo Salvaje"/"On the Possibility of the Wild," Zaragoza will host a performance of Iannis Xenakis' Oresteïa in May 2022. The new production based on Aeschylus' tragedy is made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
