775th INMM Spring Conference:Focus on Interpretation

With its 75th Spring Conference, the INMM has set itself the goal of bringing to life the many facets of "interpretation" in contemporary music by way of top-class concerts, lectures and discussions. The topic will be explored both from the perspective of performers, who today increasingly emerge (as soloists or in ensembles) as conceptual generators of ideas, as well as from the standpoint of composers who view their creative processes explicitly as collaboration.

Pivotal to the conference will be four concerts featuring pianist Rei Nakamura (Taylor Ho Bynum and Stefan Prins), the IEMA Ensemble (works by Anthony Braxton, Taylor Ho Bynum, Ingrid Laubrock, Tomeka Reid), Taylor Ho Bynum and Stefan Prins. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is facilitating the conference in April 2022.
